Avoid Rush Hour – 5 pm is not only when traffic on the 1, 10, and 405 freeways is the worst, but that’s also when everyone goes for happy hour from work in the Santa Monica area. If you’re looking to avoid crowds, try seeing some of these sites midday or on the weekends.
Most of the crime is among people who know each other, public disturbances.
